HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS
Hyaluronic acid is a type of filler which has been on the market for a long time and with which cosmetic physicians have had a lot of experience.
It is a non-permanent, endogenous substance, which is broken down within the body in a natural way.

Hyaluronic acids have a duration of 6-18 months. The duration is, among other things, dependant on the place where the product is sprayed, the depth and specific properties of the product used.

Especially wrinkles that are caused by a loss of fat or connective tissue (nasal labial folds, mouth, cheek lines) are suitable. But fine lines like lip lines, lip contour, crow’s feet, etc. are also very suitable to be improved with hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid can also improve the shape of the face, for example by emphasizing the cheekbones, or restoring the jaw line.
Hyaluronic acids are applied in or below the skin with a fine needle. For most products lidocaine / anaesthesia has also been added so the treatment is hardly painful.

Hyaluronic acids are sold by several manufacturers. That explains why there are many different brands with different strengths.

The important thing is that the doctor has considerable experience with the products he uses.

Frequently Asked Questions

ARE HYALURONIC ACIDS SUITABLE FOR ME?
To determine whether Hyaluronic acids are suitable for you, it is important to make an appointment for an intake interview. We can then discuss what your needs and expectations are and which products are most suitable for you.

WHAT IS HYALURONIC ACID?
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in our body but gets broken down as we age. Hyaluronic acid ensures that our skin remains in good condition.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PERMANENT AND NON PERMANENT FILLER?
Permanent fillers are fillers that have a permanent character. They are not broken down by the body. In the past, these were widely used because there were no alternatives and they did not know the risks. If we encounter any problems with fillers it is almost always with permanent fillers. Problems include infections, displacement, connective tissue etc. For this reason, permanent fillers should not be used anymore.
The current non-permanent fillers like Hyaluronic acids and Radiesse have proven their safety.
If there are problems with these fillers than the cause is probably the physician’s lack of skill. Therefore, always choose a skilled doctor. See NVCG site.
